This model was made from the remains of Model No 5 and was an experimentin the use of a diesel engine as well as an attempt at a tail-less plane. I could never get the engine to start without first spending half-an-hour tweating and flicking it
The first (and only) flight was exciting - and amusing. It shot off from the hand-launch at very high speed but I'd put too much up elevon trim (reflex) in for the launch . . . . it produced the fastest three-quarter loop imaginable, finishing up embedded in the ground a couple of yards behind me. It happened so fast that I didn't have time to get my right thumb to the Tx elevator stick before if made its (fatal) contact with mother earth
