YAMAMOTO
(Model No. 20)

This must be the best trainer kit that money can buy. A great learning-device during the build and a predictable, stable flyer which, in the case of this particular example, was easily made very aerobatic by moving the balance point rearwards and increasing the control surface movements to the maximum

This model has had three crashes, so far. One was due to my inability to get it out of a flat spin, having worked extremely hard during many flying sessions to get it into one in the first place! The crash broke the fuz into two, but was easily repaired. A faulty Tx RF Module was eventually discovered to have caused the other two crashes

The plane has been used as a test-bed for many engines and also to test suspect radio gear and was also, for a while, fitted with a HAL Auto-pilot, which was great fun - especially when mounted on top of the wing and set-up to produce hands-off inverted flight. The model has been converted to a tail-dragger and is still flown occasionally
