This plane was built using the wing from Model No 5


It was an experiment in engine silencing. The inverted engine's exhaust fed into a separate, baffled, compartment which ran the full length of the fuz, and exited at the tail skid. The exhaust baffle itself was made from balsa, built as part of the fuz and coated internally with glassfibre resin. It was very quiet in flight, but the engine (an OS .25) was not powerful enough to produce any interesting flight characteristics. Looking at it now, the wing was too small for the fuz too
